Cattle grazing in national parks is headline grabbing stuff. Cows were removed from the Alpine National Park by the Bracks government, let back in by the Baillieu/Napthine government and are about to be kicked out again by the Andrews government. This is great news, as the scientific evidence is abundantly clear – cows damage the alpine environment and a national park is not the place for large, hoofed non-native animals.
